Volunteer and Aspiring Educator Shineh Moon

Shineh Moon finds pleasure in the beauty of nature, recognizing it as a reflection of God's intended design. She experiences a deep connection to the present moment when immersed in nature and is planning to build a camper for weekend camping trips with her son. She finds that motherhood has been the most rewarding, beautiful, yet challenging experience she has ever partaken in. Combining her love of nature with her greatest love: her son, has been a beautiful experience. Art serves as an expressive outlet for her. She particularly enjoys painting with acrylics, often depicting scenes of nature with imagery like female figures to symbolize Mother Nature.

During high school, Ms. Moon’s commitment to helping others was ignited when she and her peers built a school in Thailand and collected donated school supplies through door-to-door outreach efforts. Over the years, she has participated in service projects with Habitat for Humanity and Service for Peace.

Shineh Moon holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Michigan and is currently in process of obtaining her masters in education from the University of Southern California. Inspired to develop engaging and experiential learning curricula for children, she seeks to model positive behavior and provide feedback to foster each child's growth and development. An avid reader, she particularly enjoys titles by Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, and Don Miguel Ruiz.
